Questions, answered.

Shipping, returns, sizing and which thing to buy for which dog. If your question isn’t here, the desk is always open.

Floor 1Choosing & sizing

How do I choose the right product for my dog?

Start with where the problem happens. The shop is split into four worlds: Road Trip for the car and carriers, Walks & Trails for harnesses, leashes and collars, Bath & Grooming for brushes, nails and bath day, and At Home for beds, mats and blankets. Toys, apparel, bowls and bottles live in Shop all.

Every product page has a Details section with the sizes, materials and what’s in the box. If you’d rather describe your dog and let us narrow it down, open the shop assistant in the bottom-right corner.

How do I know which size to order?

Measure your dog before you order. You’ll want chest girth (the widest part of the ribcage, just behind the front legs), neck girth and, for coats, back length from the base of the neck to the base of the tail. For harnesses, have a recent weight too.

Then check the sizes in the product’s Details section. For example, The Everyday Harness (in Walks & Trails) lists its sizes by weight and chest. Several coats and tops note that they run small, including the Puffer Coat, Yellow Slicker, Polka Dot Turtleneck and Denim Vest. Where a product says that and your dog is between sizes, go up a size.

If the measurement you need isn’t listed, email us your dog’s measurements before you order and we’ll help you pick: brayden.parker003@gmail.com.

Which products are best for my dog’s needs?

A few common starting points from the current shelves:

Pulls on walks: The Everyday Harness spreads pressure across the chest instead of the throat. Pair it with The Reflective Leash, or The Running Leash if you run.

Car rides: The Back Seat Hammock keeps the seat clean. The Short Seat Belt Tether clips to a harness (never a collar). Small dogs can ride up high in The Car Booster Seat.

Nail day: The Nail Grinder files a thin layer at a time; The Lit Nail Clippers light the nail so you can see where to stop.

Eats too fast: The Slow Bowl and The Lick Mat.

Hot weather: The Cooling Vest and The Cool Pad.

Needs something to do: The Fetch Machine, The Herding Ball, The Carrot Patch and The Branch Chew.

We don’t make health or behaviour claims. If your dog has a medical or behaviour issue, your vet or a trainer is the right first call.

What do you have for small dogs?

A few things are made specifically for small dogs: The Car Booster Seat lifts small dogs high enough to see out of the car, The Mesh Backpack carries them on your back, and The Lit Nail Clippers are sized for small and medium dogs. Most harnesses, coats and vests come in XS or S as well. Check each product’s Details for the exact size range.

What makes a good gift for a dog person?

Things that don’t depend on knowing the dog’s exact size are the safest gifts: The Motel Blanket, The Corduroy Zoo, The Branch Chew, The Lick Mat, The Recall Whistle, The Treat Pouch or The Trailhead Bottle. If you’re buying something sized, like a harness or coat, ask the owner for their dog’s chest measurement first.

Floor 2Shipping & orders

How long does shipping take?

Shipping is free on every order to the United States, with no minimum. Orders usually arrive in 7 to 15 business days. Delivery times are estimates rather than guarantees; carriers and customs can add time. The full details are in our shipping policy.

Where do you ship?

Right now we ship within the United States only.

Can I track my order?

Yes. You’ll get a tracking number by email as soon as your order ships. If you have an account, you can also find your orders by signing in.

My package is late, lost or stuck. What now?

Email brayden.parker003@gmail.com with your order number and we’ll sort it out.

Can I cancel or change my order?

Orders can be cancelled for a full refund until they ship. Email us with your order number as soon as you can. If you need to change something, such as a size or colour, get in touch before it ships and we’ll see what we can do.

Floor 3Returns & refunds

What is your return policy?

If it isn’t working for your dog, send it back within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. Return shipping is on us and there’s no restocking fee. Items need to come back in the condition you received them. Read the full refund policy.

How do I start a return?

Email brayden.parker003@gmail.com with your order number. We’ll send a prepaid return label. Once the return is on its way, your refund goes back to your original payment method, usually within 5 to 10 business days.

My order arrived damaged or wrong.

Sorry about that. Email us a photo within 30 days of delivery and we’ll send a replacement or refund it, your pick. You don’t need to send it back.

Can I return potty and hygiene items?

For hygiene reasons, used or opened potty and hygiene goods (diapers, belly bands, wraps, training and pee pads, and poop bags) can’t be returned unless they arrived damaged or wrong.

Floor 4Use & care

How do I use and care for my products?

Each product’s Details section lists its materials, and its care notes where we have them. A few examples: The Back Seat Hammock, The Cool Pad, The Motel Blanket and The Denim Vest are machine washable. The Lick Mat and The Mini Bag Holder rinse clean. The Paw Cup comes apart to clean. The Nail Grinder and The Avocado Mist Brush charge by USB.

If a product doesn’t list care instructions, please don’t guess. Email us before washing it and we’ll check with the maker.

Are your toys safe for heavy chewers?

No toy is indestructible, and we don’t claim any of ours are. Plush toys like The Carrot Patch and The Corduroy Zoo say so on the page: supervise play, and they aren’t for heavy chewers. Check toys regularly and take them away once they start to come apart.

How should I use the car tethers and seats?

Always clip a seat belt tether to a harness, never a collar. The Car Booster Seat should also be used with a harness tether. We don’t make crash-test claims for any of our travel goods, so think of them as keeping your dog settled and in the back seat rather than as safety restraints.

Is the life vest a substitute for watching my dog?

No. The Shark Life Vest adds buoyancy and has a grab handle, but always supervise your dog around water.

Floor 5Getting help

How do I contact Rumpus?

Email brayden.parker003@gmail.com or use our contact page. If it’s about an order, include your order number so we can find it quickly.

What if I’m not sure which product is right for my dog?

Two options. Open the shop assistant in the bottom-right corner and tell it about your dog: size, what you’re trying to fix and where you’ll use it. It searches our current shelves and suggests a few things. Or email us your dog’s breed, weight and measurements and what you need, and a person will reply.

If neither of us can say for sure that something will fit or work, we’ll tell you that rather than guess.

Still deciding?

Ask the front desk.

Tell the shop assistant about your dog and it’ll pull a few things off our shelves, or write to us and a person will answer.
